This hands-on introduction/beginners workshop will give you the skills and confidence to transform your furniture. A relaxed and fun session showcasing the versatility of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and a great opportunity to sample the Annie Sloan paints, brushes and waxes. This 3 hour introduction to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint covers the following:

• How to prepare a piece for painting

• An introduction to the paint and the brand

• Practical opportunities for you to learn the basic principles of using the paint including a smooth finish, stippling and texture

• Practical opportunities for you to learn about the different ways to seal and protect your paintwork (waxing using clear, white, dark and black wax)

• An introduction to metallic gilding waxes

• Using a stencil

• An opportunity to see a variety of painted pieces in my shop

These workshops are small and intimate and limited to 6 guests: this is perfect for asking questions and building up confidence. The workshop includes refreshments.
