This vintage cocktail cabinet has been handpainted with an Aztec/Indian/Mexican influence. I have used colour and texture to create a functional piece of furniture art. I wanted the appearance to be aged and ‘imperfect’ with the feel that this could have been painted decades ago.

Practically speaking, this is a wonderfully spacious cabinet with a drawer (lined with the original velvet) and a cupboard door for further storage. It is light enough to move around a space - see the handles on the top tray section. The hardware is original and has been half painted/half cleaned to incorporate them into the design.

I have staged this piece up against a vibrant blue/teal wall but there are so many colours in this piece that could work as a background colour.
